The following post is a bit of a parody, so please don't take it too seriously. (HT to Bob Hyatt and Kevin Cawley.)
Given the nature of dialog within the comments of a weblog, it seems we should all develop a minimal philosophy for our web logs.
PHILOSOPHY OF THIS WEBLOG
1. Since it is my web log, I decide what to post. Duh.
I have never deleted posts because your comments are so interesting. I don't have the time or patience to get into protracted debates, but since that hasn't happened here, I don't worry about it. People probably wouldn't care if I deleted a post, but as editor (so to speak) I want you to remember that it is my prerogative. Remember, you are not paying for this forum, and neither am I.
2. I don't live for this web log. I am a full time wife, mother, teacher, and business owner in addition to this my daily writing assignment. I do it in my spare time or when I should be doing something more important. Please don't expect me to always be profound, intelligent, or interesting. I will do my best. However, there are genuine limitations in my ability to engage significant ideas. For the record, although I have read thousands of books, I have not authored a single one.
3. As always, I welcome your readership and participation.

Oh, rats! I am way disappointed, 'cause I was all about the profundity. Totally.
Well Grace, all I can say is that I live for your blog. I go through my day wondering, has Grace put up a new post yet?
I woke up in the middle of the night last week and my first thought was, Must check Emerging Grace's Blog.
If you don't straighten me out who will?
I really can't imagine life without your infinite words of wisdom published in the blogosphere.
And really ,can't your family just take care of themselves? That's what the microwave is for, and cable tv! Don't they know they are holding you back, the brilliant blogger that you are blossomed into?
Please Grace, live for this web log. Don't find yourself at the end of your life, on your deathbed full of regret saying, "If only I had blogged more."
u do know this was in jest, an attempt at parody, don't ya? Grace, are u there? Um, I hope I didn't freak her out.
I really need to work on my parody skills!
Pam, that is too funny!!
Sorry, I didn't reply sooner. :)
I had to spend a few hours away from here sleeping.
